What is Cratekin?
A free collecting game in your browser. You open crates from The Rejectory and collect the misfit creatures inside, called Cratekin. There are 10 so far. More about Cratekin.
Does Cratekin cost money?
No. Nothing in Cratekin can be bought with real money, and there are no payments of any kind.
What is Scrap and how do I earn it?
Scrap is what crates cost. New players start with 250, and the Rejectory Surplus Crate costs 250. You earn more by working shifts on the Sorting Line (up to 125 Scrap per 60-second shift) or at the Repair Bench (up to 150 per 75-second shift). Both pay about the same per minute; better work pays more. Scrap has no real-world value.
Can Cratekin or Scrap be sold, traded or cashed out?
No. Cratekin and Scrap are virtual, have no monetary value, and can't be sold, traded, transferred between players or exchanged for money or anything else.
What happens if I get a duplicate?
You keep it. Each copy is counted: the reveal says Copy #2, Copy #3 and so on, and your Shelf shows how many you have. Duplicates can't currently be converted into anything.
How are crate results decided?
On the server, using the published odds and a secure random number generator. Your browser only plays the animation. How crates work.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest straight away. A guest collection only lives in one browser, though, so create an account to keep your collection. Your guest progress moves into the new account; nothing starts over.
What happens to a guest collection I don't come back to?
Guest collections are removed after 90 days without a visit (14 days for guests who never collected anything). Accounts are never removed for inactivity.
I already have an account. What happens to my guest collection if I sign in?
Signing in switches this browser to your account. A separate guest collection in the same browser isn't merged into it.

What is The Rejectory?
The place where the world sends things that didn't pass inspection, and where every Cratekin comes from. Read the introduction.
Is Cratekin still being developed?
Yes. Cratekin is in early access. More Cratekin are coming and The Rejectory is still being explored. Features, balance and odds may change, and there are no fixed release dates.
Does Cratekin show ads or track me?
Not at the moment: there are no ads, analytics or tracking cookies. If ads are added later, the privacy policy will be updated first and you'll be asked for consent where the law requires it.
