Terms of use

The short version: Cratekin is a free game in early access. Scrap and Cratekin are virtual, have no money value, and can't be sold or traded. Play fair.

1. These terms

By using Cratekin (cratekin.io) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Early access

Cratekin is under active development. Features, content, prices, odds and balances may change, be added or be removed, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. We aim to keep your progress, but during early access we may need to adjust balances or collections (for example to correct a bug or undo exploitation) and, in rare cases, reset data. We'll try to give notice where we can.

3. Scrap and Cratekin are virtual

  • Scrap and Cratekin are virtual game content that you may use within Cratekin. You don't own them as property.
  • They have no monetary value and can't be bought with real money.
  • They can't be sold, traded, transferred to another player, or cashed out or exchanged for money or anything else.
  • Since nothing is paid for, there is nothing to refund.

4. Guests and accounts

You can play as a guest. A guest collection lives in one browser, can be lost if cookies are cleared, and is deleted after a period of inactivity (see the privacy policy). If you create an account, use an email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and use the account only for yourself. You can delete your account at any time.

5. Fair play

Please don't:

  • use bots, scripts or other automation to play shifts, open crates or create players or accounts;
  • exploit bugs (please report them instead), or get around limits, for example by creating many guests or accounts to collect extra Scrap;
  • attack, overload or try to gain unauthorized access to the site or other players' data;
  • use Cratekin for anything unlawful.

If you do, we may restrict or end your access, and remove Scrap or Cratekin obtained that way, with or without notice.

6. Our content

The Cratekin names, artwork, lore and the site itself belong to Cratekin. You're welcome to share screenshots of your collection for non-commercial purposes.

7. No guarantees

Cratekin is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't make promises about availability or fitness for a particular purpose, and we aren't liable for lost progress or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as Cratekin develops. We'll change the date at the top, and continuing to use Cratekin after a change means you accept the updated terms.
